Curd or Yogurt or Yoghurt or Yogourt is a lactic fermentation of milk. Curd has zero carbs, zero sugars and zero trans fats. Curd has proved highly beneficial in health ailments, in preventing and delaying degeneration of body, in purification of blood, and has more vitamin B complex than milk. Curd helps in keeping the body temperature at a cooler state. It is easily digestible as milk protein is predigested in the process of conversion from milk to curd. It is rich in protein, calcium, riboflavin, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12. In one trial, it has been observed that obese individuals who ate 3 servings of low-fat yoghurt a day as part of a low-calorie diet lost 22% more weight and 81% more abdominal fat than the other group who only cut back on calories with no supplementation of calcium.
